The Case for Optimism: The Optimists’ Voice

Bridgeworks Leadership breakfast

Friday 23rd March, 2018

At its simplest, optimism is a general expectation that good things will happen. According to recent Harvard health research, optimism may help you live longer.  Optimism may also help you function better as a leader.

Victor Perton is the author of this newly released book “The Case for Optimism: The Optimists Voice”.

Victor is the founder of The Australian Leadership Project with the mission to “celebrate, understand and improve Australian leadership.”

He is a barrister, public speaker, compère, moderator & roundtable facilitator. As a Director, he serves on the Boards of Yarra Valley Water, Lifeguard Health Networks, the Global Integrity Summit & the Australian Centre for Financial Studies.  Victor’s life experience includes stints as Commissioner to the Americas, 18 years a parliamentarian, practice as a barrister, mediator, arbitrator, businessman and board service.  Victor was a Senior Adviser in the Australian G20 presidency supporting the G20 Finance Ministers & Central Bank Governors meetings and the Brisbane G20 Leaders Summit described by the Prime Minister as “the most important gathering Australia has ever hosted.”

Most of us are sick of turning on the news or opening a newspaper and being assailed with stories of disaster, mayhem and 24/7 criticism of our leaders. Victor Perton will give voice to our yearning for a positive approach to leadership and life.

There’s no doubt that optimistic leaders not only outperform other leaders, but create workplaces that more effectively engage other people and their ideas.

This will be the ideal session to bring along your team or valued clients.

Don’t miss Victors’ fabulous presentation at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne.
